General job description:

At Nordic Pharma, we are committed to ensuring we do business in the most ethical, transparent and fair way possible. We are now recruiting a Legal & Compliance advisor who will also act as our Data Protection Officer to help improve our Compliance processes and policies and secure our sensitive personal data, carry out regular internal security audits, and act as the main point of contact between Nordic Pharma and the data protection authorities. Our ideal candidate will have excellent organizational, communication, and management skills, and also the ability to lead training sessions and workshops with employees. You will often be asked to work independently in this role, but also to communicate with all relevant employees as you promote a culture of compliance within the organization. You will also be a multitasker able to deliver to deadlines and have a sense of urgency.

 

Main activities and responsibilities:

DPO and GDPR Implementation

  • Become Nordic Pharma’s DPO: Act as the primary point of contact within the organization for employees, regulators, and any relevant public bodies on issues related to data protection
  • Ensure Nordic Pharma’s policies and practices are in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Nordic Pharma’s Codes of Conduct
  • Evaluate the existing data protection framework and identify areas of non or partial compliance and rectify any issues
  • Devise training plans and provide data protection advice and support for all employees
  • Inform and advise the Data Controller or Data Processor on all matters related to data protection
  • Promote a culture of data protection compliance across all Nordic Pharma entities

 

Compliance Implementation

  • Perform risk assessments to understand risk level, significance, and scope
  • Keep up-to-date with, and understand, relevant laws and regulations
  • Monitor compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies
  • Educate employees on not only the regulations, but also the impact on Nordic Pharma if these aren’t complied with
  • Investigate irregularities and non-compliance issues
  • Highlight or escalate areas of concern
  • Contribute to robust and effective compliance controls within Nordic Pharma
  • Review materials, presentations, and websites to ensure conformity with Compliance requirements
  • Assist in the gathering of internal information in response to regulatory/business partners’ requests
  • Collaborate with other departments to create a culture of compliance.

 

Legal Support

  • Archiving of contracts in the Group Contractual Database
  • Training of all Group coordinator employees on how to upload contracts into the contractual database
  • Management and drafting of POAs and delegation of signature and authority
  • Operational support and ad hoc legal advice to subsidiaries
  • Management of intercompany contracts between the Group and the subsidiaries
  • Drafting and review of all types of contracts (including but not limited to Distribution, License, Supply, Manufacturing, Regulation, Services, IP, PV, QA, Confidentiality….)
  • Legal internal audits of subsidiaries
  • Coordination of signatures with DocuSign
  • Annual update of transfer prices by means of amendment
  • Support with ongoing litigation, where applicable

 

 

Qualifications, experience and skills required:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Law
  • At least 3 years of previous experience in Compliance/ GDPR in an international company (multi-site)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent command of English (minimum level C1)
  • Organization, ability to manage several projects at the same time, ability to synthesize information and rigor
  • Strong motivation with a good team spirit
  • Autonomous

 

 

This position is based in The Netherlands, Amsterdam area. If this requires you to move from a different country, Nordic Pharma will be as supportive as can be and get you up and running, and enjoying, the Dutch lifestyle in no time.
